Prioritising Employee Wellbeing: Creating Balance for Mental and Physical Health in 2025

The events and activation industry is no stranger to longhours and high-pressure moments. With tight deadlines, demanding clients, andconstant project delivery, the hours can be gruelling, leaving little time forrest and self-care. But here’s the thing: creating a healthy work-life balanceisn’t just about taking breaks—it’s about giving your team the freedom to stepaway, recharge, and return with a refreshed mindset. That’s why we’ve madeemployee wellbeing a top priority in 2025, and the results speak for themselves.

Taking Time Out: Padel for Mental Clarity and PhysicalHealth

In an industry where the pace can be relentless, we’ve found that giving our team regular breaks to reset has made a huge difference. One of the ways we’ve incorporated this is by introducing padel into our weekly routine. Twice a week, we gather for 60-90 minutes of high-energy play, and it’s become more than just a physical activity. It’s a chance to switch off from the office, shake off any tension, and enjoy some healthy competition with the team.

We’re not time-watchers. We understand that the work is important, but so is our team’s wellbeing. That’s why we make time for padel, even when there are deadlines looming. The truth is, we’ve seen that when we allow our staff to step away and take this time for themselves, they come back to the office more focused, motivated, and ready to tackle whatever challenges lie ahead. It’s a small investment of time that yields big results—both for our team’s mental health and our business.

Outdoor Meetings: The Power of Fresh Air

Alongside physical activity, we’ve also embraced the importance of fresh air to boost our team’s creativity and wellbeing. Our new office, which features spacious grounds, has become the perfect backdrop for outdoor meetings. Instead of being confined to four walls, we often take our catch-ups outside, enjoying the fresh air while discussing the latest projects, brainstorming new ideas, and just connecting as a team.

These outdoor meetings have proven to be incredibly effective. The change of environment fosters a sense of relaxation, encourages new perspectives, and promotes better collaboration. We’ve noticed that employees return to the office feeling energised and inspired, with a renewed sense of clarity that’s hard to achieve in a stuffy meeting room. It’s just one of the ways we’re prioritising employee wellbeing and creating a positive, productive atmosphere at work.

Real Results: Happier Staff, Stronger Business

We believe that giving our staff the freedom and flexibility they need to maintain a healthy balance has been one of the keys to our success. By empowering our team to take breaks, step outside, and focus on their health, we’ve seen a dramatic shift in morale, engagement, and performance. Our team is happier, more motivated, and more excited to come to work each day.

This approach has not only improved employee wellbeing but has also had a tangible impact on the business. Happier employees mean stronger collaboration, better creativity, and improved results for our clients. Our commitment to wellbeing is reflected in the quality of work we deliver, the positive culture we’ve created, and the growth of the business itself.

Building a Culture of Balance

We know that the demands of the events and activation industry aren’t going anywhere. The hours are long, and the stakes are high. But by giving our staff the freedom to manage their time, take care of their health, and step away when needed, we’ve been able to build a culture of balance and wellbeing. This, in turn, has helped us grow as a business while ensuring that our team stays motivated, productive, and happy.

In 2025, we’re more committed than ever to supporting our team’s physical and mental health. Whether it’s through padel, outdoor meetings, or simply prioritising time for rest, we know that taking care of our people is the key to sustained success. When our staff thrive, so does our business, and that’s something we’ll continue to prioritise as we move forward into a new year of growth, creativity, and collaboration.
